Samantha is a Bachelor of Social Work student at Keuka College completing her final semester internship at Journey Through Psychological Services. In this role, she is gaining valuable observation experience in therapeutic setting while developing a deeper understanding of mental health practice. All while spreading awareness to the community that our office has the mindset that "there isn't one size fits all approach" to therapy.

Samantha brings a strong foundation of direct service experience to the field, with over 10 years of dedicated work supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This extensive background has equipped her with skills in advocacy, person-centered care, and building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.

Through this internship, Samantha is expanding her clinical knowledge by observing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and learning from experienced mental health professionals. She is particularly interested in exploring the intersection of mental health and developmental disabilities, recognizing that comprehensive, holistic care addresses the full spectrum of each individual's needs.

Samantha is committed to pursuing a career in social work that honors dignity, promotes empowerment, and advocates for underserved populations. Upon graduation from Keuka College, she looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of those facing mental health and developmental challenges, as well as continuing her education pursuing her education earning her MSW in Social Work.
